As an Inspector at McKnight International, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our construction projects. Your responsibilities will include inspecting construction sites, verifying adherence to specifications and codes, and collaborating with project teams to maintain the highest standards of construction quality.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable building codes.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address and resolve construction issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Document and report findings, including deficiencies and deviations from project requirements.
- Identify and report any deviations, defects, or non-compliance issues and work with the project team to resolve them.
- Perform quality assurance assessments on materials, workmanship, and construction practices.
- Monitor construction schedules and progress to ensure projects are on track and meet established deadlines.
- Conduct pre-construction and post-construction inspections to assess and verify the quality of work.
- Conduct final inspections and produce comprehensive punch lists to ensure that all outstanding issues are resolved before project completion.
- Stay updated on relevant building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams to promote best practices in quality control.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Inspector or a related role in the construction industry.
- Proven track record of successful project inspections and quality control.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
- Thorough understanding of construction processes, codes, and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address construction issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse project teams.
- Proficient in using construction inspection tools and equipment.
- Strong computer skills for generating reports and maintaining documentation.
- Certification as a Construction Inspector is a plus.
- Relevant certifications or licenses, if required by local regulations.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to various construction sites as needed.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established safety protocols.

Salary: The compensation for this position is contingent upon both your geographical location and your level of experience.
